We spoke with Beth Jones, Head of Marketing and Events of 1 Mill Street who spoke to us about this amazing venue.

1 Mill Street is the result of co-founders Nigel and Dessie Shanahan merging their love of people and business.

In 2018, the sale of their lovechild business Rant and Rave, was in progress, and the next phase of their journey was on the horizon.

They set about creating a place for people to thrive, collaborate, uplift, and, most importantly, 'do well and do good' within the local community.

Our in-house charity, Make Good Grow, was at the forefront of Nigel and Dessie's minds when they spotted a big, beautiful, red brick building on the corner of Leam Terrace, opposite Leamington Spa’s Jephson Gardens.

Driven by their passion for enabling people to thrive, Nigel and Dessie envisioned the potential of this building.They recognised that a space filled with people had the power to create something special — a place where locals could come together, connect and collaborate whilst establishing strong relationships. 

Nigel and Dessie knew that this building could create magic.

The kind of wizardry where locals could connect with like-minded people in a vibrant space and feel a sense of community right from the beginning - a coworking space.

1 Mill Street is the melting pot of Royal Leamington Spa.

We're made up of an eclectic mix of businesses, characters and facilities set over three floors.

We provide everything from flexible workspaces, team offices, inspiring meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art production studio, agile event space, a fully stocked bar AND possibly Leamington's best coffeehouse.

With the perfect mix of public and exclusive member areas, we’ve created a co-working space where everybody is welcome.

Our memberships range from resident desks, hot-desk memberships, day passes, private office spaces, and our flexible 5-day-a-month ‘lite’ memberships for those working within a hybrid model. 

For our non-members, we have the Urban Garden, a beautiful ground-floor break-out area ideal for catching up with friends or colleagues.

Here you can enjoy fresh sandwiches, delicious pastries, and fulfilling lunches made by our in-house chef. 

The Urban Garden is perfect for events such as networking, presentations, member events and evening gatherings, whilst the co-working space can be transformed to host award evenings, corporate parties and launch parties.

We like to think of ourselves as match-makers, and we’re so proud of the partnerships that come from this building.
