More help on finding a meeting room

How much does a meeting room or private space cost on Tally Workspace cost?

We have a wide range of venues and different spaces on Tally Workspace. Prices are, therefore, very varied, depending on the quality of the space, the locations and what is included. We recommend you use our search tool to see what is available in the area for the capacity you are looking for.

If you are struggling to find a private space or meeting room on the platform then don't hesitate to contact our friendly customer support team via our chat facility or email [email protected]

How can I reduce the cost of a meeting room or private space?

If you are budget conscious we would recommend considering the following:

    • Location - central locations are more expensive. If you want to rent a space in Liverpool Street but the cost is too high consider areas such as Whitechapel as that 15-minute walk could offer you significant savings.
    • Bigger spaces are much more expensive and there are fewer options available. Consider whether you need a 40 person meeting room or if access to a coworking space and a smaller meeting room would be sufficient. Coworking passes are typically a much lower cost than booking private spaces or meeting rooms.
    • Tally Workspace offers traditional offices as well as hospitality venues. Hospitality spaces can offer significant savings vs. traditional meeting rooms and often include perks. It may be worth thinking about how you are planning to use the space and whether one of these third spaces could be a better solution e.g. for a team get together a less formal setting may be more appropriate.
    • Discounts are normally offered on longer or repeat bookings. If you book a room for a whole day or each week you will receive a bigger discount. If you can't see a discount on the platform don't hesitate to contact our friendly customer support team via our chat facility or email [email protected]

What facilities and equipment should a meeting room have?

Meeting rooms and private spaces for teams are hugely varied and so you should not expect a minimum level of facilities when booking a meeting room. The facilities could include the following:

    • Wi-Fi
    • Whiteboards
    • Flipcharts
    • Projectors
    • AV equipment
    • Parking
    • Lockers
    • Bike storage
    • Power sockets
    • Access to coworking space
    • Refreshments e.g. tea and coffee

We recommend always checking the detailed description provided on the Tally Workspace website and if unsure contacting our friendly customer support team via our chat facility or email [email protected]

Where can I find a meeting room to rent?

What makes a good meeting room?

The big advantage of our meeting rooms and private spaces is that they are private spaces so that your team are not disturbed and can have confidential conversations.

What makes a good meeting really depends on the type of meeting you are planning to have. But we find bright rooms with large windows typically get the best reviews from our customers.

Why are private spaces and meeting rooms on-demand becoming more popular?

The Covid pandemic has demonstrated to most companies that their employees can work from home. With most staff wanting to work only 2 days per week from an office, logically most companies can now opt to downsize their office by 60%. Equally, a number of leading companies (such as Dropbox, Pinterest, and Twitter, have gone fully remote and now no longer have an office. Whilst working remotely has its advantages most people do want to meet their team on occasion. Tally Workspace supports this by allowing companies to book workspace as and when teams need it. Because companies only pay for the workspace their team use, companies working with us can save between 30-90% on fixed office rental costs.

What is a meeting room and how does this differ from a private office or private workspace?

A meeting room is a room specifically designated for meetings. As we have seen an increased shift in the way we work and the way meetings are performed - from silent meetings to workshops - the types of spaces which teams are looking to meet has become more varied.

We would define a meeting room as a more traditional space for a work meeting similar to a board room or for larger groups a conference room.

However, to make sure there is no confusion we try to include pictures of all of our meeting spaces and are always available to answer any questions you may have.

What is the difference between a meeting room and a conference room?

Conference rooms are generally larger spaces for bigger group collaboration sessions. Because they are larger spaces, conference rooms are generally associated with one team member speaking to the rest of a group rather than the whole team collaborating as would be expected at a meeting. Conference rooms are more typically associated with workshops, seminars or conferences.
