Glasgow at a Glance
Pricing: from £295 to £415 per desk per month
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and has the widest choice of serviced office space outside London. Desk rates sit on a par with Birmingham and Bristol, making Glasgow competitive with major English cities outside London. The city has a strong financial services sector anchored by the International Financial Services District, alongside a growing tech and creative scene concentrated around the Merchant City and Finnieston.
How Much Does Office Space Cost in Glasgow?
Private offices in Glasgow typically cost between £295 and £415 per desk per month. Here is how pricing breaks down across the main districts.
Central Business District (George Square, West George Street, St Vincent Street)
The most expensive district, sitting at the top of the Glasgow range. Glasgow's traditional commercial core. George Square is the focal point, with occupiers including Deloitte, Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young in the surrounding streets. Queen Street and Central stations are both within a five minute walk.
International Financial Services District (IFSD)
Premium pricing, on par with or slightly below the CBD. Purpose-built around Broomielaw and Atlantic Quay on the north bank of the Clyde. Created to attract overseas financial services firms, the district now houses Barclays, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
Cubo Glasgow in the Aurora building sits at the junction of the CBD and IFSD. Modern Grade A buildings with large floor plates. Central station is around a 10 minute walk.
Merchant City
Mid-range, slightly below the CBD but with growing demand. The area between George Square and the Trongate, part of the Glasgow City Innovation District. A mix of converted Victorian warehouses and newer stock, popular with creative agencies, startups and tech companies.
Clockwise Glasgow is among the main workspace options in the area. Trongate and Argyle Street are the nearest rail connections.
Finnieston and Charing Cross
Lower mid-range, among the more affordable central options. West of the CBD along the Clyde, covering the area around the SEC and Kelvingrove. Growing reputation for creative and media businesses, with BBC Scotland and STV both nearby at Pacific Quay. Charing Cross station connects to the main Glasgow rail network. Good for teams wanting a central Glasgow address at a lower price point.
West End (Byres Road, Hillhead)
Sits at the lower end of the Glasgow range for serviced space. Close to the University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Park. Smaller supply of serviced offices compared to the city centre, mostly in converted townhouses. Popular with academic spin-outs, consultancies and small professional firms. Hillhead and Partick subway stations connect to the city centre in under 10 minutes.
