Chancery House has a grand entrance that feels more like a hotel than an office, with terracotta tiles leading up to reception alongside soft seating. The look is Mediterranean-inspired, with light wood furniture and a soft white and beige palette that makes the whole place feel calming, more spa than workplace, and there's a good gym on the lower ground floor. FORA have the whole building, with eight floors in total. There is amazing natural light throughout and four rooftop terraces with generous seating and plants. It suits teams who want a premium space and care about the finer details of decor and amenities, and it's noticeably more premium than other operators in the area.
About Chancery House
Chancery House is Fora's Holborn workspace, an eight-storey retrofit of the former Chancery Lane Safe Deposit, first built in 1885 above the London Silver Vaults. dMFK Architects worked with Copenhagen studio Norm Architects on the redesign, and the project won a 2024 Dezeen Award for Workplace Interior.
The original building was destroyed by a wartime bomb and rebuilt in 1953. Fora (part of The Office Group) took on the freehold in 2019 and retrofitted the existing structure rather than demolishing and rebuilding it.
Private offices run from around 4 desks up to an 85-desk floor across 127,000 sq ft, and Fora can combine offices for bigger teams.
Shared amenities include an on-site gym with Pilates equipment, roof terraces, a cafe, 17 meeting rooms and three event spaces for up to 125 people. The building is wheelchair accessible throughout, with step-free access via the main entrance.
