Aviation House is formerly the Church of the Holy Trinity, and the disparity between the outside and the inside is amazing. You'd never expect to walk into such a buzzing, modern building. The breakout space is vast, there's a free barista on site and a great little food bar, plus fab event space in an outbuilding. The office spaces are built around an atrium, glass walled in the usual WeWork style, with lots of meeting rooms that come with credits and phone booths onsite. It's aimed more towards start-ups and younger, fun companies.
About Aviation House
Aviation House is a Grade II-listed building at 125 Kingsway in Holborn, run by WeWork across all ten floors. It began life as the Church of the Holy Trinity, built in Portland stone between 1909 and 1911 in an Edwardian Baroque style by John Belcher and John James Joass, with a facade modelled on Santa Maria della Pace in Rome.
The church closed in 1991 and the rear was redeveloped into offices in the late 1990s, keeping the listed frontage. WeWork now occupies the whole building, pairing the period exterior with modern fitted workspace inside.
Offices range from a couple of desks up to full floors, and larger offices can be combined for bigger teams. Each one is managed and all-inclusive, so a single monthly fee covers furniture, utilities, business rates, cleaning, wifi and 24/7 access.
The standout space is a restored chapel with hand-painted murals, now used for events, alongside a lower-ground speakeasy-style lounge. The building is dog-friendly and adds a barista, on-site showers, a wellness room and a parent's room, plus bookable meeting rooms and phone booths.
