Albert House is a lovely, premium office space with a lovely reception area. It's very dog friendly throughout. There's a great tiered event space, used for things like screening Wimbledon and the World Cup, plenty of nice meeting rooms onsite, and different snacks available on each floor. There's an intimate gym that's kept fresh, versatile office spaces, and a lovely cafe with some great sweet and savoury options.
About Albert House
Albert House is Fora's workspace at 256-260 Old Street, three minutes' walk from Old Street station. Ben Adams Architects transformed the formerly dated office building for the operator in 2015, giving it a black facade with illuminated signage and entrances on both Old Street and Singer Street.
The interiors take their cue from 1920s Chicago speakeasies: copper accents, reeded glass, mosaic and turquoise leather set against exposed services and bare concrete. A low-ceilinged area on the ground floor was converted into a cinema-style screening room with padded beams, tiered steps and deckchairs.
Private offices run from around 2 desks up to 50-plus, and offices can be combined for larger teams. Each is on an all-inclusive monthly licence covering business rates, utilities, furniture, cleaning, wifi and 24/7 access.
Shared amenities include bookable meeting rooms, an on-site gym, a cafe and speakeasy-style lounge bar, soundproof phone booths, showers and bike storage, plus terraces on the third and sixth floors. Membership adds business-hours access to over 60 other Fora buildings and member rates on meeting rooms across the network.
