The building originally opened in 1908 as the Philharmonic Hall and later operated as a cinema, and that history carries through in the design, with big cinema curtains and retro booths. About Brock House
Brock House is a rare island building fronting Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia, now run by Fora as flexible workspace. Before offices it lived several lives: originally a church site, then the Philharmonic Hall hosting jazz orchestras in the early twentieth century, later a grand cinema and finally a car showroom.
The 39,000 sq ft interior, designed by SODA, plays on that history: chrome and knurled-metal detailing references the automotive era, pleated curtains and warm tones recall the cinema, and a Rosso Alicante marble reception desk sits in the lounge like a car in a showroom. Restored showroom windows fill the ground-floor lounge with natural light, and a mansard roof extension adds amenity space with views across London.
Private offices run from around 4 desks up to full floors of 80-plus, and adjacent offices can be combined for larger teams. Licences are flexible with a 3-month minimum term and cover business rates, utilities, furniture, cleaning and wifi, with 24/7 access.
Shared facilities include six meeting rooms, phone booths, an on-site members gym, fully stocked showers, bike storage, lockers and event space. Fora lists the building as wheelchair accessible throughout, via the main entrance.
